The St. Cloud (MN) Area Chamber of Commerce The St. Cloud (MN) Area Chamber of Commerce (Chamber) is seeking a President to lead the 5-Star Accredited Chamber’s Board of Directors and staff as the premier business leadership organization in the St. Cloud metro area. The Chamber currently has over 800 members and conducts a full range of programming, including networking, business education and training, a robust Government Affairs Division, and the local convention and visitor’s bureau. In addition, the Chamber operates divisions in two adjacent communities to St. Cloud: The Waite Park and Sauk Rapids Chambers of Commerce.

The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce is recognized as the Voice of Business in Central Minnesota.  Established in 1869, the Chamber has grown from a small commercial club to a regional chamber of commerce advancing opportunity and quality of life in the St. Cloud, Minnesota metropolitan area.  The work of the Chamber is focused on the core benefits a membership investment provides to members: business connections, community impact, and economic prosperity.

The St. Cloud Area Chamber of Commerce is accredited by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Accreditation by the U.S. Chamber indicates that a chamber of commerce operates under effective organizational procedures and contributes to significant positive change in the community.  The St. Cloud Area Chamber has been accredited since 1975 and became a 5-Star Chamber in 2006, the first year that it was eligible to do so.  To achieve coveted 5-Star standing, the Chamber performed an intensive, nine-month self-assessment of its operations, and was awarded 90% or more of the available points in nine designated areas of work.

The Chamber has stable leadership, an excellent staff, active Board and volunteers and, despite recent challenges to businesses, remains fiscally strong. The Chamber recently moved to larger, modern office space with meeting facilities in the St. Cloud Downtown Area. It shares the space with its convention and visitor bureau which promotes the St. Cloud metropolitan area to state and national interests as a convention and sporting destination.

This position is an excellent opportunity for an experienced association executive. Compensation will be commensurate with a candidate’s skills and experience and performance incentives and competitive benefits are included in the compensation package.

It is the goal of the St. Cloud Area Chamber’s Board of Directors to fill the position no later than August 1, 2021.
