The Fergus Falls Chamber of Commerce is seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Director of Membership and Marketing. This pivotal role drives membership growth and retention through strategic marketing, strong relationship building, and effective community engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead sales and business development efforts to attract new members, clearly articulating the value of Chamber membership.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with current and prospective members, community leaders, and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement strategic membership recruitment and retention plans to expand and engage our member base.
  • Oversee member onboarding, engagement initiatives, and event planning to ensure a high-value experience for all members.
  • Manage the membership database (CRM), analyze data, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for continuous improvement.
  • Design and execute comprehensive marketing campaigns across digital, social, and traditional platforms, showcasing Chamber benefits.
  • Represent the Chamber at various community events, fostering strong public relations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • 2-5 years of business experience in marketing, relational sales, customer service or related roles (internships included).
  • Exceptional communication skills, including public speaking, strong writing, and content creation (photography/videography a plus).
  • Proficiency with social media platforms, email marketing tools (Constant Contact), CRM systems, and graphic design software (Canva).
  • A positive, dependable, and proactive team player with excellent organizational skills and a detail-oriented, creative approach.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a small team environment, committed to local business and economic vitality.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Wage Range: $45,000 – $62,000 annually ($22-$30/hour), depending on experience.
  • Full-time, flexible 40-hour work week (Monday-Friday, primarily on-site in Fergus Falls).
  • Benefits include: $300 monthly healthcare stipend, 3% 401K match, Paid Time Off (PTO), 7 paid holidays, and a flexible work environment.
